Andrés Marvi
Andrés Daniel Marvi was born in 1956 in Germany. He played the guitar quite regularly in his youth. After completing high school, he taught at various music schools. At the same time, he dedicated himself to building guitars in Zurich, Switzerland, under the auspices of maestro José Luis Romanillos. This confirmed his artisanal talent and his manual dexterity and skill. He took a guitar-making exam in 1985 in Erlangen, Germany.
Andrés Marvi has lived in a small town near the guitar metropolis of Granada since 1987.
Surrounded by an Andalusian atmosphere, he builds his instruments there and keeps in touch with numerous colleagues in his craft. After several years of experience in guitar making and always open to innovation, Marvi participated in an advanced course again with Romanillos in Córdoba in 1992. His ongoing contact with the guitar world led him to the "LiGita" (Liechtenstein Guitar Festival) in 1996.
It was in Liechtenstein that he met guitar distributor Norbert Giebel, originally from Lemgo, Germany, who immediately recognized the extraordinary quality of Marvi's guitars. After exchanging ideas, Marvi created a new concert guitar model.
With over 30 years of experience, Marvi now builds guitars entirely handcrafted to the highest quality for Flamenco and Classical guitars.
Among other guitarists who play Marvi guitars is the virtuoso "il fenomeno" Aniello Desiderio, a century-old guitarist. Graham Devine, winner of the first prize at the Alhambra International Guitar Competition in 2002 and the first prize at the Emilio Pujol Competition in Italy in 2002. The first prize winner at the Alhambra International Guitar Competition in 2004 is Goran Krivokapic.
